Hailed by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the greatest song writers ever, Canadian songstress Joni Mitchell is indeed my favorite female performer.
With a start in the ‘60s folk scene she has had a long prolific carrier exploring not only the folk genre but jazz and rock as well. Whether singing a capella or accompanying herself on dulcimer or guitar, her sweet voice delivers songs of life and heartfelt tribulations. Although probably best known for her music she considers herself a painter first and musician second.
Tonight I offer a collection of live performances ranging from solo performances, collaborations with other artists and her full band. At the end is an interview from 2007 in which she discusses several of her projects of that time.
